Founded P.B.S. Inc, trading as “The Window Man”, in August of 1989 after being a partner in a small building supply company (Contractors Discount Supply) that sold just to builders.
The new construction industry is primarily about “price”. That lead me to the “replacement” window & door market, which is value driven.
We at The Window Man, have always strived to offer the “best value” in all types of windows & doors; whether vinyl, wood, wood clad, fiberglass, composite, aluminum, or steel.
We became involved in the commercial window industry in the mid nineties when we became the area dealer for Mon-Ray/DeVAC windows. This has allowed us to work with architects, structural engineers, & acoustical engineers on many large and small scale projects.
We have also worked on Federal projects including historical and acoustical.
By incorporating many of the things we have learned in the commercial and Federal construction arena, we can better serve our residential customers as well.
Our industry is a combination of old (low tech) and new (high tech) that is always interesting and challenging as it continues to evolve. We enjoy the challenge of staying on top of the latest technology.

I have been working with The Window Man as a window replacement consultant since 2003. I have visited ten factories to see first hand the care and detail each factory gives to their products. I have dedicated myself to acquiring all of the knowledge on each and every product we provide to our clients. This enables me to provide the windows or doors that best suits our customer's needs and budget.
Prior to working with The Window Man I enjoyed myself as a Sales Representative in the men's clothing industry but due to changes in that industry I had to make a decision to find another path in my career. After a month of searching I found a home with The Window Man, a company that shared my strong values and principals of honesty, integrity, and a "low pressure" sales strategy. This has been quite a refreshing experience in the sales industry and I have found that I am able to serve each client with the same high quality of service that I would expect for myself.

I spent 20 years in management in the Finance Business. In 1995 I decided to join The Window Man, the best job I've ever had. Driven by passion, knowledge, and experience I stayed on until 2005. During my time I sold millions of dollars of windows, doors, storm windows, and siding. In 2005 I decided to try the Real Estated business and continued in it until recently. I have stayed in touch with Tom Patterson and The Window Man family over the years. I wanted to become part of the family again and decided to return to what I do best, selling the Best Products and Service in the area. I'm glad to be back!

Prior to joining The Window Man team I was the Front Office Manager of an Optometric Practice in Ashburn, Va. Harry Linton is our Senior Installer/Service Technician. He has been working for The Window Man for over five years. Harry was raised in the Home Improvement Industry by his Father. He showed Harry the carpentry skills that make the difference between a good job and a great job. Harry was raised and continues to believe and practice that only quality work is worth doing. Before joining The Window Man Harry worked for multiple remodeling/construction companies; gaining a vast knowledge of different products and manufacturers. Harry is EPA Lead-Safe Certified. He has become The Window Man’s personal MacGyver.

Michael Linton
Service Technician/Installer
Michael Linton is the newest asset to The Window Man team, and we are very excited to have him. Michael is originally from Maryland and grew up in the home remodeling industry. He has been professionally installing windows and doors for over 35 years; both commercially and residentially. Michael has an extensive knowledge of the different window/door products and their manufacturers. Michael is EPA Lead-Safe Certified. And yes, Michael is Harry’s brother.

Although I have just begun working with The Window Man as an In-house Sales Representative in 2013, I have already visited the Marvin factory to see first hand the care and detail the factory gives to their products. I am focused right now on building my knowledge of all of the products that The Window Man offers so that I can assist customers in the showroom and be sure they are seeing samples of the products that best suit their needs.
Prior to working with The Window Man I enjoyed myself as a Sales Representative in exterior home products and also as a General Contractor. I have found that I get the greatest job satisfaction when I can help a homeowner solve a problem they are experiencing, or improve the quality of their home, while doing it with the best products available and within their affordable budget.
